Refund Policy

Please note that Legalhood only collects technology fees. Legal fees are collected and managed by Assistance Avocats. The reimbursement policy for the firm is below. Please note that neither Legalhood nor Assistance Avocats can guarantee a favorable legal outcome.

OnRègle/Legalhood

Cases of full refund of service fees:

OnRègle undertakes to refund service fees (technology fees) in full when a (technology) error has occurred or, for products other than family law, when service is not rendered within the stated time frame. 

No administrative fees will be charged for this type of refund.

Refunds for dissatisfaction or other reasons:

An internal audit will be conducted and a partial refund may be granted, depending on the case.

In all cases where work has been performed on the file : 

• Legalhood undertakes to refund the service fee to the customer who requests it by applying an administrative fee. This fee is 10% of the total cost within the first 14 calendar days of purchase. The fee is only reimbursed up to 90% if the lawyer has not started work, as stipulated in the section below.

Assistance Avocats reimbursement policy

Full reimbursement of legal fees:

• Assistance Avocats undertakes to reimburse the legal service in full if the lawyer has been unable to render the service in time. 
• No administrative fees will be charged for this reimbursement.

Refunds for any other reason:

Joint divorce services or modification or cancellation of child support payment

In the event that your spouse/ex-spouse refuses to participate in the procedures, you must inform Legalhood within 14 calendar days of your purchase in order to receive a 90% refund. Any refund request made for this reason after the 14 days will be made for a maximum value of 75% of your total purchase price to cover administrative and operational costs associated with your file. Requests made after 365 calendar days will be reimbursed at 50%.

If a lawyer has been appointed, but no meeting has taken place, you will receive a 75% refund. If, however, a meeting has already taken place but the service has not been completed, we will conduct an internal audit with the lawyer to assess the value of the service rendered, and the client will be reimbursed based on these results.

Mediation agreement homologation service 

If the meeting with the lawyer has not yet taken place, you will receive a 75% refund. If, however, a meeting has already taken place, but the service has not been completed, we will conduct an internal audit with the lawyer to assess the value of the service rendered, and the client will be reimbursed based on these results.

Other services

In the event that a lawyer has been appointed and has begun work on your procedure but the service has not been completed, we will conduct an internal audit to assess the value of the service rendered and the client will be reimbursed based on the results.

Demand letter

If the letter of formal notice is not sent, we will reimburse 100% of the cost of sending it by post or e-mail.

Small claims

If a claim is not filed with the courthouse, we will reimburse 100% of the court fees associated with your file.
